Accreditation
Cathedral is accredited by the state of Indiana and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States.
Enrollment
1253 students (666 males and 587 females) in grades 9 through 12 from Marion County and nine other Central Indiana counties. Students attended approximately 130 different schools before entering Cathedral.
Faculty
96 faculty members have an average of more than 18 years of teaching experience, with the majority holding master's degrees. With a student-teacher ratio of 13:1, a highly personalized approach to learning is maintained.
Academics
There are 11 academic departments providing more than 188 course offerings. Three instructional levels are offered-honors, academic and college preparatory-as well as honors-level independent study in nearly all disciplines. A special emphasis is placed on technology in the classroom.
The Language Support Program is available to meet the special needs of students with learning differences who are preparing for college. In this program, courses are taught at the academic level of instruction with appropriate accommodations.

Grading Scale and GPA
The grade point average is computed by dividing the total grade points each semester by the number of classes taken which carry grade points. Courses not taken at Cathedral High School are not included in this computation. Honors courses, which are significantly more demanding, are weighted (see below).
As of Fall 2005, Cathedral High School does NOT rank its students.
