In honor of the Cathedral Girls Soccer State Championship, the Indiana Ice is offering free tickets to the hockey game, Monday, February 8th at the Pepsi Coliseum at the State Fair Grounds. The game starts at noon, and tickets may be picked up at the front office starting Wednesday.
Congratulations to our Irish wrestlers, who defeated HSE 44-16 in team regional action. With this win, the Irish will make their fourth trip to state in five years! Go Irish!
Young Democrats will be having a meeting after school this Thursday in Sister Stewart's room (room 4343)... Please come out if you can!
BOOKS AND BAGELS: All are welcome to join us for an open forum to enjoy bagels, to discuss books, and to choose a book for the March meeting. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7:00 AM in the Media Center conference room.
Eighth Annual Spring Break Trip John’s Island, South Carolina. We will have a meeting on February 4
in the SLC at 3:30 PM to review the details for the Habitat Spring Break trip, taking place on March 20-27, 2010.
During this mission trip, we will work on four Habitat homes and perform outreach projects for a local church.

participating in this trip; signups are still welcome.

NEWBORNS IN NEED WILL HOLD THEIR MONTHLY MEETING ON WEDNESDAY AFTER SCHOOL IN THE COSTUME SHOP. NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME, NO SEWING EXPERIENCE NEEDED. COME AND HELP US MAKE WARM BLANKETS FOR BABIES IN LOCAL HOSPITALS.
This is the NEW schedule for Girls Sectionals. This meet has been moved from Franklin Central to Lawrence North due to mechanical issues at FC. The timeline has change. Please note diving prelims are Friday night and the meet starts in AM on Saturday for the swimming and diving finals.

The State Spanish Competition is coming up on Saturday, April 17, from 9 to 1 at Craig Middle School in Lawrence Township. Each year several high schools from around the state compete in categories such as piñata making, poster drawing, vocabulary, grammar, non-stop conversation, impromptu speaking, and more! Your Spanish teacher should have a survey for you to fill out if you are interested, or email Senora Egan regan@cathedral-irish.org for more information. Weekly practices will be starting soon!
Reminder: There will be a mandatory NHS member meeting next Wednesday, February 3rd in the morning OR in the afternoon. You must attend one of these meetings. The morning meeting will be held in room 4305 at 7:00am and the afternoon meeting will be held in room 3305 at 3:15pm. Please let Mrs. Holman or Mrs. Boyd know immediately if you have a conflict.
