| | Advanced Choir This course is an advanced vocal course that provides group and individual instruction designed to develop the skills necessary to perform a widely varied repertoire of ensemble and solo literature. An emphasis will be placed on vocal technique through performance. Preparation for performance will include a study of the historical, formal, analytical and stylistic elements of each composition. Required rehearsals and performances. |

| Beginning Chorus | | This is a group vocal experience to develop musicianship and specific performance skills such as posture, tone production, breathing and vocal techniques, and intonation through ensemble literature. Students will further their ability to listen, analyze and sight sing. An emphasis is placed on the development of artistic and aesthetic perception. Limited required rehearsals and performances. |

| Intermediate Chorus: Pop Swing | | Pop Swing is a continuation of Beginning Chorus with an added emphasis on pop music with the addition of choreography. Required rehearsals and performances. |

| Music History and Appreciation | | This course enables students to explore the nature of music and major musical style periods. An emphasis is placed on listening, analyzing and utilizing music vocabulary. Students study the elements of music including melody, rhythm, harmony, form, texture, and musical notation. Classical, jazz, musical theater, gospel, and rock'n roll will be studied. |
