Freshman and Transfer Student Orientation Information

Freshman Orientation
Monday, August 10th  
8:00 a.m. – 2:30p.m.
Freshmen should report to the Cafeteria

What goes on?
Freshmen student will rotate between four activities in the morning which include:

  • Taking a tour of Cathedral High School - student tour-guides help our freshmen become acquainted with the school building and locate their lockers
  • Taking School Pictures - these pictures will appear in Cathedral's yearbook as well as be used on their student ID's. Dress with this in mind.
  • Listening to Speakers in the WAC- Mrs. Saum will inform incoming students of the expectations at Cathedral High School, Mrs. Powell will speak about our commitment to diversity, and Mrs. Witka will introduce new students to campus ministry.
  • Completing Kuder Career Planning Registration and completing the first of three Career Planning Assessments: Kuder Career Search with Person Match- Kuder is a lifelong career planning program utilized at Cathedral Highschool which is designed to

    assist you, your parents and your guidance counselor in determining a future oriented course for college placement, college major and career field.

Box lunches will be served at 12:30 p.m. for both students and parents.
