First official practice – August 2. You must have at least 10 practices in after this date before you can participate in meets.
Please get your physicals done as soon as possible. Physicals must be done AFTER May 1 to be valid for the following school year. Forms may be downloaded from the Cathedral web site (www.cathedral-irish.org) go to the “Athletics” tab, then to “Forms”. If you have not previously participated in sports at Cathedral, you will also need to fill out a HIPPA form. Once you have a HIPPA form on file, it is good for the rest of your Cathedral career. Physicals must be performed every year. If you do not have all your forms on file by August 2, you cannot practice. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!
Practice Sites:
Cathedral Practices: Meet in front of Welch Activity Center
Broad Ripple Practices: The Running Company Parking Lot, Broad Ripple. Next to Einstein's.
Ft. Harrison State Park Practices: Meet at the Delaware Lake Parking Area (in through the front gate, take the first right, and follow the road to the parking area in the back). Seasons passes are available (State Park Pass) and recommended, as is carpooling. Or meet at the track across from Ivy Tech (about 1/4 mile east of park entrance) 10 minutes early, so that people who don't have park passes can carpool in with people who do.
Butler University: Meet at the lower parking lot, off of 52nd St., between the Dance School and the tennis "bubble".
Downtown CC Arena: Practice and Meet: Directions and parking information will be handed out separately.
Northview Christian Life Center: Corner of 131st and Hazel Dell in Carmel. Park in the western lots off of 131st. The facility has requested that we stay out of the buildings. There are port-a-johns on site that they have provided for our use.
