Please get your physicals done as soon as possible. Physicals must be done AFTER May 1 to be valid for the following school year. Forms may be downloaded from the Cathedral web site (www.cathedral-irish.org) go to the “Athletics” tab, then to “Forms”. If you have not previously participated in sports at Cathedral, you will also need to fill out a HIPPA form. Once you have a HIPPA form on file, it is good for the rest of your Cathedral career. New policy this year: You must have your physical and HIPPA forms on file in the Athletic Office before you can participate in any practices - INCLUDING SUMMER CONDITIONING. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!
Summer Conditioning Schedule:
Monday through Thursday: 7:00 - 9:00 a.m., Cathedral High School (WAC Parking lot)
Friday: 7:00 - 9:00 a.m., Broad Ripple Park
Saturday: 7:00 - 9:30 a.m., Ft. Harrison State Park (see below) **We have moved this time up (from 8:00) due to the heat.**
Official Practices Begin on Monday, August 1st!!
Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 5, practices will be the same as the summer conditioning schedule.
The pre-season Parent Meeting is tentatively scheduled for Monday, August 1, 6:00 p.m., in the cafeteria.
Team pictures will be taken on Thursday, August 4th, at 8:30 a.m.
Saturday, August 6, will be our annual run-a-thon fundraiser at Cathedral. Information will be given out at practice.
Beginning Monday, August 8th, we will switch to our school year practice schedule. Practice will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Practice Sites:
Cathedral Practices: Meet in front of Welch Activity Center
Broad Ripple Practices: Meet in the parking lot at Broad Ripple Park (off Broad Ripple Avenue).
Ft. Harrison State Park Practices: Meet at the track across from Ivy Tech (about 1/4 mile east of park entrance), so that people who don't have park passes can carpool in with people who do.
Butler University: Meet at the lower parking lot, off of 52nd St., between the Dance School and the tennis "bubble".
Downtown CC Arena: Practice and Meet: Directions and parking information will be handed out separately.
Northview Christian Life Center: Corner of 131st and Hazel Dell in Carmel. Park in the western lots off of 131st. The facility has requested that we stay out of the buildings. There are port-a-johns on site that they have provided for our use.
