Picture Information
Student pictures will be taken during orientation day. Appropriate dress instructions can be found below.
Please note there are two methods to purchasing pictures this year:
Online Method:
Visit www.mylifetouch.com and use the picture ID SB012007Y0, choose what you want and pay online.
Pay by Check Method:
Obtain an order form through the school, choose options and return order envelope with check on picture day.
Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! We are looking forward to having a great year. You should be able to view your student’s schedule through Power School. If you cannot, please contact Mr. Rolly Landeros. If you have questions about the schedule itself, then please call or email your child’s counselor. The attached schedule will provide information about when the counselors will return and when schedule changes can be made.
SPIRIT SHOP:
The hours for the Spirit Shop are as follows:
Aug. 2 9:00AM to 1:30PM
Aug. 3- 9:00AM to 1:30PM
Aug. 6- 7:30AM to 3:00PM
Aug. 7- (Closed during the day) open 6:00PM to 9:00PM
Aug. 8- 9:00AM to 5:00PM
Aug. 9- 7:30AM to 4:30 PM
Aug. 10- 7:30AM to 4:30PM
ORIENTATIONS (please arrive 15 minutes early):
Sophomores- Thursday, Aug. 2 from 8:00AM to 12:30PM
Freshmen- Friday- Aug. 3 from 8:00AM to 12:30PM
Freshmen-Monday- from 8:00AM to 2:00PM (both Friday and Monday are required sessions for Freshmen)
Juniors- Monday- from 12:30PM to 5:30PM
Seniors- Aug. 8- 1:30PM to 6:00PM
During orientation, students will receive their bluebook and yearbook. Freshmen will receive their bluebooks on Monday. (Freshmen do not receive a 2012 yearbook.) The youngest child in each family will receive an extra bluebook for his/her parents. Pictures will be taken at each orientation. Pictures for freshmen will be taken on Monday. Picture ordering information is attached.
DRESS FOR ORIENTATION:
While students may wear their school uniform to orientation, they are not required to do so. However, all students are expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
Boys: Sport shirt and dress pants. No jeans, T-shirts, shorts or sweatpants. Boys must be clean-shaven.
Girls: Christian modesty is the expectation, and skirts must be of an appropriate length. No jeans, T-shirts, sweatpants or shorts. Shoulders need to be covered.
LUNCH:
Aladdin is our new lunch provider this year. You may still use “Meal Time” accounts to place money into the system. You need your student’s ID number to do that and that number is the same as the ID for Power School. You may send a check to the school to be deposited into your account. Your student will receive his/her 4-digit pin number to use at the cafeteria register on the schedule distributed during orientation.
LOCKERS:
Locker numbers and combinations will be available on the schedule distributed during orientation.
SCHEDULE CHANGES:
Your counselor will be in his or her office to change schedules with missing classes or class conflicts (defined as two desired classes meeting the same period) according to the schedule listed below. These two situations are our immediate concern as we need everyone in a class when school begins on Thursday, August 9th. Please know that we want every student to succeed and believe that our entire faculty strives for that same result. Therefore we will not change a schedule because of teacher preference.
THESE TIMES ARE ONLY IF YOU NEED TO SEE YOUR COUNSELOR IN PERSON. MOST CHANGES CAN BE DONE VIA E-MAIL. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR COUNSELOR IN THIS WAY IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR CANNOT COME IN DURING THE SPECIFIED TIMES.
Seniors - Thursday, August 2 from 9-12:00 p.m.
Sophomores - Thursday, August 2 from 1-3:30 p.m.
Juniors - Friday, August 3 from 9-12:00 p.m.
Freshmen - Friday, August 3 from 1-3:30 p.m.
Monday, August 6th - Sophomore/Junior/Senior 8-12:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 7th - Faculty Meeting All Day - No Schedule Changes
Wednesday, August 8th - Faculty/Staff meeting-8-12-No Schedule Changes
- Schedule changes for all classes, 1:00-3:00 pm
Thursday, August 9th - First Day of School—No Changes!
- (Only students with conflicts or missing classes will be seen.)
Friday August 10th - Changes before/after school and during Resource. No changes are to be made during a class period.
