Welcome to my personal webpage. I currently teach Geometry at the Academic and Honors levels, and also A.P. Statistics. I began teaching at Cathedral in 1992 and have also taught Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 in previous years. I am also the head boys soccer coach, which I began in 1990. I graduated from Earlham College in 1987 with a degree in mathematics, and worked as a carpenter from 1987 until 1992 along with coaching club soccer.
I am available before school every morning for students to get extra help or make up a quiz or test they missed. I will be in my room by 7:00 a.m. The only exception to this will be when we have a faculty meeting before school. After school I am busy with soccer in the fall, but when soccer ends I will also be available for extra help. Mrs. Hartman, who also teaches Geometry in room 4131, will also be available after school everyday for extra help or make up work.
I expect my students to be responsible for learning the material that is covered in each course. If a student has questions or trouble with topics they should ask questions in class, get help before or after school, and/or find other resources in their textbook, practice workbooks, or online that will answer their questions. Students who can consistently accomplish this should be successful.
