Purpose of Cathedral Connection

Cathedral Connection was an outgrowth of the former Parent Network at Cathedral High School. The purpose at the out set was to establish a connection between faculty, administration, and parents.
The Connection has been involved with many projects at Cathedral. It started the annual family Mass and formed the post-prom committee in the past. Cathedral Connection also started the education committee, which formulated and recommended the college handbook, and implemented the liaison committee, which hosted class level meetings to discuss items particular to that class level. Cathedral Connection wrote and promoted the Parent Contract, initiated neighborhood meetings, and held many programs as the interests of parents warranted. In more recent years, Cathedral Connection heard parents' concerns and assisted in the following changes: full-time Campus Minister and service learning component, grading scale and class rank change, more accessibility to the web page, email, and voice mail, increased access to technology, addition of Meet the Teacher Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences, and improved communication through the Insight.
Cathedral connection promotes thoughtful communication at the parent, administration and faculty level. We take your issues of concern, tackle them as aggressively as possible, and work together to find the solutions that will continue the excellence of Cathedral.
